The entire process—from capturing your voice to streaming the translation—takes about 5-6 seconds. We find this creates a natural pause, similar to working with a live human interpreter, allowing students a moment to process the information before the translation begins.
It depends on the type of classroom instruction you need. For most subjects you only need a few snippets of translated information to get most ELL directed in the correct way. Our experience is that the average teacher needs roughly 10 minutes of translation for about an 90 minutes of instruction time. As the student becomes more familiar with your class and improves in their English proficiency, their need for translation decreases.
We currently support 30 languages, including Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Dutch, Turkish, Russian, Ukrainian, Czech, Arabic, Catalan, Hindi, Greek, Hungarian, Finnish, Swedish, Bulgarian, Romanian, Danish, Slovak, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Hebrew, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, and Indonesian. Our list is constantly growing based on the needs of our partner schools and teachers.
The simplest setup is just your smartphone! Open our website on your phone, press and hold the record button as you speak, then release when finished. This gives you complete freedom to move around your classroom. For teachers who prefer a hands-free option, you can also use a computer with a wireless lapel microphone and presentation clicker, but honestly, most teachers find the phone method more convenient and natural.
The experience is designed to be incredibly simple. Students just need two things: 1) Any device with a web browser (like a Chromebook, tablet, or phone), and 2) a pair of earbuds or wireless headphones that connects to that device. They simply go to our website, enter your unique room code, and the translation begins streaming. No apps to install, no accounts to create.
Absolutely. Student privacy is our top priority. Our system is designed to be compliant with privacy laws like FERPA because we never require students to create accounts or provide any personal information. All classroom sessions are anonymous, temporary, and no student data is ever stored. With that said, the system is built with the idea of public school level lectures and information sharing in mind.

Not at all! All our plans come with access to a large library of high-quality, natural-sounding standard voices you can use immediately. The voice cloning is a powerful, optional add-on for teachers who want the most personal experience for their students.
You can start instantly with just your computer and its built-in microphone. For the best experience and the freedom to move around your classroom, we recommend a simple setup: a wireless lapel microphone and a standard presentation clicker to control the recording.
Our voice cloning is a simple, one-time setup process. You'll be asked to provide a clean audio sample of your voice (we'll guide you through the requirements). Once submitted, it typically takes a few business days for our AI to create your high-quality, permanent voice clone, which is then added to your account.
Your purchased time is only used when translated audio is actively being generated and streamed. It's calculated per-language, not per-student. For example, if you speak for 10 seconds and it's translated into Spanish, 10 seconds of time is used, regardless of whether one student or thirty are listening. If you translate into Spanish and French simultaneously, then 20 seconds (10 seconds for each language) would be deducted from your time credits.
